So...it’s now day 3.5 days. I got here Sunday night (right now it’s Wed. night), and so far we’ve been going to a Christian school to “teach English”, then going to a church afterwards to hold a praise night, so we’ve been decently busy. This year’s been a lot easier to connect with the kids since I actually got here at the beginning of the camp thing, unlike last year where I got there about halfway through the missions trip. However, my heart felt almost exactly the same way as it did going into missions last year...a bit lost and feeling disconnected from the Lord. At this point, I feel like God is slowly, ever so slowly, moving me to a place of worship. I want to see God move, I want to see Him do something great not only in the kids that we’re ministering to, but also in me. If there’s anything you guys can pray for, it’s for a passion to stir up in all of our hearts.
Stir it up in our hearts Lord, stir it up...

Dear Art,
ReplyDeleteWe have been praying for your guys. Auntie Christine in LA said she saw Taiwan TV news last weekend (7/25) saying there are 160 people from a church in Kaushoung got N1H1 flue. Are you guys OK? None of us from US have heard from you ever since you left. Can't you email or call parents? How did you post on the blog if you don't have internet access? I think many parents are anxious to hear from their kids.
Take care and say Hi to everyone for us.
Love,
Mom
